Hello World!
My name is Clifford and I manage some awesome developers here at GoDaddy.com who make up the WebSite Tonight team.
I have worked in nine different roles here at the company since 2002 and each one has brought me a different perspective on the company and how we serve our customers. What each role had in common was the focus on exceeding our customers' expectations and making the company more efficient. From my beginnings in the customer service group of the company, I remember some customers offering up really good ideas on product improvement and as I sat there on the tech support phone, I would think to myself, "I wish I knew the right people to make that happen". Well, eight jobs later, now I am that person!
So again, "Hello World!"
It's only befitting that "Hello World" be the opening salutation since this is a developer driven blog and "Hello World" is the first program that almost all developers create. In fact, we have several blogs going for various products offered here at GoDaddy and I am glad to see that we have established communication channels for customers to voice their suggestions and questions. So stay tuned because you'll soon meet some of the WebSite Tonight developers and they'll offer some tips and tricks along the way to show you how to make your sites really shine.
And with that in mind, let the postings begin!

I'm happy you have this program because I have zero web-building experience, but I really wish you'd enhance the navigation buttons part of the program. I have 125 pages and everytime I add or delete a page I have to re-edit all 125 so that the nav buttons back to just the main six categories - it takes an entire day just to do that! Also, it should have the option to have a mouse over each bar to show sub-bars - most website have this feature but I can't use it here.
The other comment is, there is an option to add some flash stuff to the text boxes, but no instruction other than how to use the flash intro stuff...is there a way to add flash programs/photos of our own?
Thank you

I am trying to set up a free website that comes with buying a domain name from Godaddy.
The problem is that the website displays with a banner at the top which takes away the fact that this is my website instaed of godaddy's.
I think this take the value from the customer. The lure to buy the domain name was to have a website that represents my domain, not godaddy. I hope there is a way the get rid of the banner at the top of the website.

Hi Kojo,
Thanks for the comment. The WebSite Tonight product contains ads because it is free. If you are intersted in removing them, please upgrade your account by signing up and the advertisements will be removed.
We appreciate your post!

hello all,
just wanted to add my comments about my experience with Website tonight. First of all i would like to tell the whole website tonight dept...thanks for working so hard on on your product!
Anyhow, There are alot of features within website tonight that i appreciate and with a little creativity you can build some very respectable sites. im not sure about the whole "site in one night" thing hehe. a few things that have me and the 24/7 help staff stumped.( after a few emails) is the scrolling marquee color and font changing ability...i cant seem to find how to change the color and font with in the scrolling marquee edit console. It captures the font i was using in the previous written line and uses that. grrr
this has got me a little preturbed. help if you can. Charles

Dear Charles,
Thank you for your feedback and encouragement.
As for the scrolling marquee, the font name & size can be set via the marquee editor. To change other properties (such as color, bold, italic, etc.), first select the marquee in the Advanced Editor. IMPORTANT: Make sure to select the space before and after the marquee (add spaces prior to selection if non exists). After selecting the marquee, you can then set the color, boldness, etc. via the Advanced Editor's tool bar.
I hope this helps.
WebSite Tonight Developer
Eric
