More importantly, we strive to continuously improve on what we have.  In order for us to do this effectively, we need your help.  We value and appreciate any input you might have.  Your feedback is very important in the continuing evolution of the product.  With your help, we will work to make sure that Website Tonight continues to be as great as it can be.  Thanks.

Hi - A few things I would like to see improved is the speed - seems like it takes FOREVER for screens to load. When inserting pictures, it would be nice if it would default to my pictures instead of yours. Also, it seems like I don't have very much on my pages, yet it tells me that I should remove some of the stuff. I would love to include more graphics, etc., but it seems to be overloaded very easily.

      Hi Mary,

Speeding up the program is something we are working on and you should see a noticeable difference within the next week.

As far as the warnings due to the large file sizes, those are to tell you that site visitors who are viewing your site via a dial up connection may experience longer loading times while they view your site.

      Thanks!

    Good morning,
I have had great results with your product. My frustration comes with the integration of other supporting parts.

My file sizes also say they are larger than they should be. How do you change that so that the site stays within the proper boundaries? I upgraded and was told that would correct the problem. It hasn't.
Thanks for a great, easy to use tool.

      Hi Colleen,

I'm glad to hear that you've had a great experience with the WebSite Tonight tool.  About those warnings that you received just before you published, those are to tell you that site visitors who are viewing your site via a dial up connection may experience longer loading times while they view your site.  Your site will still publish and be viewable - don't worry.

      Thanks!

Hi I have been asking for awhile so I thought I would ask again. . . we need the ability to add a google site map to our websites or need to be able to add the google code between the head and head tags in the template. None of my go daddy sites are doing well in the rankings because google can't find them easily. I have sites hosted on other accounts and they have far surpassed my website tonight rankings and very quickly. See any change of any changes on this in the future? Every time I've called tech support, they tell me just to copy and paste but google says the file has to be uploaded into the root or index file. Maybe I'm still doing it wrong, but it won't take when you add it into the html by copying and pasting. Any improvement in this area would help all of us alot. I love godaddys support and ease of use, but that one thing has prompted me to think twice when building another website. We all know how important google is

    thanks.

      Hi Margaret,

Thanks for the post and I'm glad you mentioned this idea.  We've been kicking this idea around the office and I think it's something that we can probably work into our development schedule in the near future.  Please keep posted with our blog and developments!

      Thanks for the post.

After reading about the advantages of using a CSS based template, is there a way to see a list of those templates that are CSS? As far as I can tell, you have to go through each category to find them.

      Hi Terry,

When we were releasing the CSS based templates, we were debating on having them all clumped up into one section but we plan to eventually have ALL of the templates in the CSS based format so a new section didn't fit well with that plan.  So we opted to just keep them in their respective categories but place them as the first templates in each.  This way it would be somewhat easier to find.

Unfortunately until we conver them all, hopefully that will be sooner than later, you will have to check each category to find them.  Sorry for the inconvenience but rest assured, we are working on it.

      Thanks for the post.

      Hi Jose,

Thanks for using WebSite Tonight.  We currently don't have any politically themed templates or flash introductions however you can replace the images on any of the templates with your own politically themed images to give your site that unique look.

You'll have more flexibility with our CSS templates.  In the near future, all of our templates will be converted to this new CSS system.

      Thanks again.

      Hi Joe,

Thanks for the post.  Yes, it is possible to upload a PDF file using Website Tonight.  There is an Upload Files option under the Build Web Site menu of our designer.  You can upload your PDF using that function.  Then, you can create a link to open that uploaded PDF file from any text or image on your site by pointing a link to:

      http://yourdomain.com/uploads/yourfile

Just to be clear, you'll want to substitute "yourdomain.com" with your domain name and "yourfile" with your file.

      Thanks,

    Hi,

First of all thank for developing a nice program that is relatively user friendly. I've been struggling with dreamweaver and this seems like a more efficient way to go.

Next, I need to tell ya to please give your phone tech support guys and gals a clue that this blog exists. Twice I have asked them and both times they check around the office and nobody knew of this blog's existence. I've read every comment here on the blog and got better answers than they were able to give me on the phone (particularly the page navigation button questions).

Couple o questions: I'm confused as to weather I should keep my website's blog on a separate domain or incorporate it into the website.  Is there an advantage (for search engine optimization for example) to having the blog as a subdomain? or is it better to keep it as a separate domain? (This is all assuming I can just call the tech guys and say, hey, plunk this puppy into my Website Tonight account).

Next Question. I plan to have several HUNDRED pages on my website. And I'm using an HTML based template rather than CSS. If you, as you have suggested you will, change over to all CSS templates will I have to immediately import all my content into the new CSS template? Or can I stay with the HTML format for as long as I want?

Note: I would have chosen a CSS template but I couldn't find a one with main body sidebars on both sides. As it is, I had to resort to using photoshop slices to create my top banner.

That's all for now. Glad I found this blog (by accident).

      Hi Steve,

Thanks for the praise on the program.

      1) Keeping two sites, one as a web site and the other as a blog is a good move.  It gives you the ability to link back and forth from one to another and gives you more flexibility on how you want to market your sites.

      2) Our conversion to CSS based templates is almost complete.  You should start seeing our list of templates populated with CSS based templates within the next few weeks.  If I were you, I'd switch to a CSS template now and switch back to your chosen template in the future when it becomes available in CSS form.  All templates that we have will be converted to the CSS format.

We're glad you found this blog as well.  Please check back next week - we'll have a few more posts to share about our most recent release.

      Thanks again.

I've been reading up on Meta Tags and have found that they really are almost obsolete now...that search engines are not really using them anymore. From what I've read, a well-constructed Title Tag is the way to go if you want search engines to notice your site. I have done a search on Web-site Tonight "help" buttons and can find nothing about this. Can you help me out? I'd really like to take advantage of this if possible. Also, can you give a little more info on how to make the blog work for me on my site.

    Thanks in advance,

      Hi Robin,

I think along with the title, meta tags are still being used by search engines. In Website Tonight, you can also set a carefully worded text as your page title. This you can do from 'Page Properties' page. 'Browser Title' is saved as title. After you publish your site, you will see the text as browser title.

I found a good article on net about it. Please have look at it http://www.seologic.com/faq/title-tags.php

      Hope this help

      Hi Carole,

If you want to add a link to a big picture from a small picture, there is a 2 step process.

      1) Upload the larger picture by rolling your mouse under the "Build Web Site" button on the green menu bar and click on "Upload Files'.

      2) Once you add a small picture into your page, click on it and then click on the (the add hyperlink logo).  You'll be prompted to select what kind of link you want and there will be an option to link to a file in your uploads folder.  Select that option and then select your larger image.    Also, be sure you check mark the option at the bottom to have the link open in a new window.

      Thanks.
