This is great! I've been wanting sitemaps. See my comment on "Introducing..." under "Coming soon". I've printed out this article. I will use it on one of my sites as soon as possible. Tomorrow, I suppose, because I have to go to work in a half-hour or so.
My other site has a flash page. How soon will I be able to verify here?
Thanks,
Midge
I wish I would have taken the time and looked in here, instead of bleary eyed nights, going back and forth between the 2 options trying to figure out over and over again why it isn't working.
The best part of it is when you get your site verified and you are like in such a fog, you have no idea what you did after trying so many different things. You start all over again with the next domain you want to verify. This is great! Why am I so pig-headed? At least my ex isn't here, I'm sure she could answer than in just under 100mb of room.
Hi Everyone,
I need help please!!! I'm still in the 'bleary-eyed' stage and verification of my site is just not working. I've followed the steps in the above post but still cannot verify. What am I doing wrong???
Hi,
I'm having great trouble trying to get my site verified. Can someone please help - I'm still at the bleary-eyed stage! There's obviously something I'm not doing right and I'm just not getting it! Help!!!! Thanks
Hi Angela,
We apologize for the late response.
Please let us know if you are still having problems verifying your site in Google.

This info was a good start but for new users to godaddy, if yo use website tonight with one of the templates, go to design, launch page designer, then on the top of the page where it says "You are editing: Home Page" click on Show Proeperties, then go to button that says add meta page. Google webmaster page gives you a meta tag but you need to enter it into two sections, one like it says in this blog verify-vi for the "Name" and the other part should only be the what google shows between the quotes minus the last "=" sign
When adding the Google meta tags through "Page Properties", do not forget to check the "All" check box. This will apply the meta tag to all the pages, when you publish your website. However, if you have enabled flash intro on your site, you will also have to add the Google meta tag from the "Properties" tab of the Flash Intro page. This will ensure that the flash intro page which actually becomes your home page on publish, has the meta tag included in it.

Sorry one more update you need to include the last "=" sign, so it just what ever is in between the quotes for meta name= given by Google
