Create Shared Content "Library" pages
Hello,
Shared content is a powerful feature of Website Tonight®. Shared content allows you to reuse content on several pages of your site. This really speeds up Web site creation. If you’re already familiar with adding content areas and Sharing content in Website Tonight, you’re ready to take Shared content to the next level. Create your own Shared content “library” pages! It’s really easy. First, create a new page and give it a name like “Shared Content Library” (I admit, I’m not that creative with the page names). Select the Blank layout to keep it simple. After the page is created, select Build Web Site/Organize Site from the menu. On the Organize Site page, select your library page and make sure Publish is not checked. Click OK to save your change.
Now that the library page is created, it’s time to fill it with Shared content. In the page editor, select the Sharing option in the drop down menu that appears when you hover of the main content area. Then, select the Shared content to use from the drop down list and click Insert Shared Content. This will insert your first Shared block into your library page. If you want to add more Shared content to the library, just add more Content areas and then use the same process to replace them with content you already shared from previous pages. In addition, you can add new Content areas, fill them with whatever content you want and then share them by giving them descriptive share names.
Now that you have your Shared content library page filled, you can then choose to share the content on your other pages. The library pages are great for keeping Shared content in one place and making sure that Shared content is saved in your project even when other pages are no longer sharing them. You can also create several Shared content library pages. This is useful for categorizing your Shared content. Just remember to make sure your library pages aren’t marked for Publish!
Have fun building your site!
