Introducing Global Navigation

Another new feature in Website Tonight® next release is its ability to copy selected navigation bar to all the pages. This is going to be a very useful feature, especially when you have more number of pages.

Most of our templates have either one or two navigation bar(s). For editing the navigation bar we are required to go to ‘Edit Navigation’ window. We are going to provide a checkbox ‘Copy this navigation bar to all pages’ on the ‘Edit Navigation’ window. After you have added, edited or deleted the selected navigation bar, check that checkbox and click ‘OK’. That navigation bar will be copied to all the pages.

That will be a great feature. It's just what I'm looking for.

You mentioned it will be in the "next release". Any idea when it might be available for us? (getting ready to add a gazillion pages and it would be very handy to use the new checkboxes).

When publishing my site, is there a way to deselect or not publish certain pages? Say I only want to publish; home, contact us and about us, but have 8 other pages to eventually publish but the content is not finished? Is this possible? I don't want to have to put "under construction' on all those other pages.

    Thanks

      Dear Jen

You can mark the page as not to publish in the 'Organize Site' page. This page is available under Build Web Site menu. Click the page that you do not wish to publish and uncheck the Publish check box.

      Hope this helps

      Hi Larry,

Thanks for the suggestion, we'll add it to the to-do list and see if we get more people asking for it.
