Hola! - Hallo! - Ciao!

The world is a big big place and your ideas that you want to share should know no boundaries.  Despite the fact that most of your audience may be English speaking, there are always opportunities to establish new audiences who speak a different language so don't let the language barrier limit your ideas!

There's a little known resource out there that you can use to help translate your site to different languages.  It's provided by Altavista and you can easily add their Babel Fish Translation tool to your site by adding the following script: You must add this as a separate script object  ( Tables and Objects > scripts )

<script language="JavaScript1.2" src="http://www.altavista.com/static/scripts/translate_engl.js"></script>

And this is what it will look like once published.  All you have to do is click on a flag and your site will be published in the corresponding language!

          Greetings Diane,

Sorry for the late reply. I'll be reviewing this article to see that it still works in the manner it was written   and then see if there's anything specific preventing it from functioning within your page,

      Greetings,

I've checked  the  code out and it worked out fine as written just that we missed out quite a few steps that would greatly increase your chance of success.  Here's what I did. Created  a page, pasted text into a block and then  added a script object,  <script language="JavaScript1.2" src="http://www.altavista.com/static/scripts/translate_engl.js"></script>  saved that, saved the block and then published.

While the original article says to just add that line of code I will go back and improve it to give a step by step example.
