A change in the way we handle comments to our blog
Greetings,
We’ve upgraded the commenting
procedure within the blogging application we use (GoDaddy.com ’s
Quick Blogcast) to more effectively counter comment spam.
The first time we receive a comment
from an email address unknown to Quick Blogcast, we issue an email
asking the sender to confirm their address before passing the comment
along. Once the email address has been confirmed, the comment will
display to the owner.
This is not a retroactive measure, so if you’ve already posted to any of our blogs with your mail address, please be on the lookout for this confirmation.

I really like website tonight and the way our site looks but I have been going around and around with tech support and billing because of disk space usage. I chose a small package because my site is small so I don't need to upgrade. My problem is this - the disk space usuage is not updated until the next billing cycle and no one seems to be able to look on my site and tell me how much space I'm using so I can't monitor and control the disk space. Can you please add that as a feature? I'm going nuts because they want to keep billing for additional disk space because they say what I see is the highest it's reached during that billing cycle, even I guess, if that is only one day when I'm trying to change the site and have a few too many back-ups.
Also, in your help section you need to make people aware that back-ups and pictures need to be deleted to control disk space. This is a program for beginners so not everyone is aware of how much space they use up because WE CAN'T SEE WHERE DISK SPACE IS USED ON OUR END. I'd appreciate any help you can give me so I can continue to use and enjoy website tonight.

Greetings Sheril,
Thank you for your feedback on WST and the manner in which the bandwidth is calculated. Firstly you should be able to see a nightly total ( we calculate them every 24 hours from within your MYA area. Log into MYA and click on the WST account, the account details panel to the right should show you the bandwidth/ disk used. When you launch the program the first page you hit mirrors this too. The question is are you seeing those and the information is either inaccurate or not helpful? One item that may be causing the confusion is the first time we upgrade a site that's going over it doesn't revert to the original plan unless the owner requests it ( the likelihood of a recurrence is quite high)
Let me know and we can take a further look into making this information more accessible.

Hi,
I recently published my website using Website Tonight.
While your tech support people are wonderful, the program has a few drawbacks.
The primary ones for me are as follows:
When creating copy in a template for a sub-head, you are made to think the copy will fit. When you go to preview it, you find there is not enough space and letters, copy, etc. get cut off.
I think it would be helpful to show the specific formatting as one is constructing the box, banner, etc. within the site so they will not waste valuable time and energy.
The other very critical concern is that the Website Tonight authorized browser is supposed to be Internet Explorer.
Yet, even your own techs suggest using Mozilla as it seems to work better. It certainly did for me.
But most important is that MAC visitors to my site will find improper formatting. MAC's most common browser seems to be incompatible with the Website Tonight program.
It is unfortunate to have visitors to your site see it looking unprofessional.
As a Life Coach I work with many individuals who work in creative professions. Most of these people use MAC's and I'd like to think when they visit my site they are able to view it as it was meant to be.
Thanks for your prompt attention to these matters.

Greetings Dave,
Thank you for taking the time to find, and respond to , the blog. We have been paying extra attention to the Safari browser, both in authoring and display over the last two versions and we're still making improvements within that area. I'll take a look at your site and see if these are known issues , if so we'll attend to them, if not we'll attend to them.
With regards to the cutting off the material and not seeing this until you preview it I can certainly take another look at that. WST should work with both IE and FF and I'd like to know what the differences you are experiencing between the two browsers.

Hi - My MAC user friends say the same thing - they see a bunch of capital "A"s all over it.
I guess maybe I'm the only one who is frustrated at the slowness of the site. It drives me absolutely insane when I have to wait and wait and wait for the site to come up and then wait that long AGAIN for the pages to change. GoDaddy has an excellent reputation out there which is one of the reasons I chose this application but if it's constantly going to be this slow, or keeps giving me an "Authorization failed" (something like that) error and kicking me out, I'm going to have to move my site and I don't want to do that.
One more thing....I've noticed that other applications don't charge for the photo editing module. Any chance that you'll offer your photo filer not as an add-on but as part of the package? It's obvious that everyone is going to put photos on their sites. Just asking.
Thanks for listening. I'm very frustrated so if anyone has any suggestions, I'm open to trying anything.

Dear Chris,
Per your first comment, Safari displaying the capital "A"s in the place of various increments of white space is actually something that we are very aware of and will be resolving as soon as possible. It's an odd bug, but one that we have on the top of our priorities to be fixed. As an important note, it will be necessary to republish once these changes are made, as a new set of code will be put online that won't have this issue.
"Authorization Failed" typically only happens when session cookies expire, so it's a good idea to save often while building and disable any tool bars or other programs running along side the browser which may cause time-outs. Additionally, although it never seems like it's going to be as easy as this, clearing out cookies associated with the 'app4.websitetonight.com' page does wonders for me when it seems things just aren't working the way they ought to.
As per your last comment, we actually do have built in image galleries included with every one of our Website Tonight packages. The next time you're inside and building, on the left hand control panel under "Block Options", select "Add Photo Album" and instead of using your Online Photo Filer, choose "Photo Album". We simply give people the option to use their Online Photo Filer sites in conjunction with their Website Tonight projects so that they don't have to re-add every image to their Website Tonight and use up disc space better used elsewhere.
Thanks for writing,
Ben
