WebSite Tonight 4.2 released.

We've just released Website Tonight 4.2 with two new features which you may find of interest, as well as many fixes and improvements to our existing offering.

Quick Shopping Cart Integration.

Many of our website owners are small business owners as well. Quite a few of you have both a Website Tonight and a Quick Shopping cart. Until now you have had to manually create the links to your store, and recreate the button on each page. Now you can create a relationship between the two with a couple of clicks.

How to get it

ADD ONS > QUICK SHOPPING CART

For users with a single store, all you need do is name the button and click OK. If you have more than one QSC store, select your store from the drop down and then click OK.

Note: both WST and QSC have to be active and within the same account.

Pre-built Sites

Presently there are five pre-built sites with helpful content and related graphics to inspire you to create your presence on the web. The choices are Author, Club or Organization, Small Business, Personal Portfolio, and Family or Baby.

How to get it

Presently, these are only available at the time of site creation. While this may not help you immediately, the next time you’re setting up a Website Tonight account, time should fly by.

We've also improved cross browser support, improved responsiveness, and removed many of the small annoyances that you've written us about. Until next time, thank you for all your feedback and requests please keep them coming.

    Greetings,

Why is forum option so featureless? Free forums offer more tools than this one, in fact, why can't we add Google Adsense or PayPerClick-PayPerPlay.com on forum. I generate tons of hits to site, and cannot take advantage of it.

    Happy New Year

      Greetings Mike,

We have both the items you have mentioned on our road map for future versions of the forums. Currently you are correct that it's a  bit thread bare , in relation to other  forums that you can install for free  over on our hosting connections site with your existing hosting account. The latter options  may be more suitable for your immediate needs but if you can  hold on we're going to have these in a future build. Thanks for taking the time to provide us with this  feedback.

      Regards

I was just wondering if you had any plans on speeding up the operation of the site builder, or offering a faster version for users like me on a "high speed lite" internet connection. Updating my site becomes a chore when the time to load each page is so long (30 seconds per page or more)

      Greetings Sarah,

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. Yes we have plans  There's an ongoing effort to tackle this very issue. We're adding additional capacity to WST's infrastructure as well as optimizing the underlying code on the main designer screen which should reduce those load times. This is an ongoing effort and I'll post progress on the blog as we enact them.

          Greetings,

I'm glad to hear it's working out well for you. We're adding further improvements on the   responsiveness of WST over  the next few releases and hope they are similarly useful.

How do I know I'm using the most up to date version of website tonight. When I edit my page I see 4.3.0. Is that the latest?

Yes, as of yesterday 4.3.0 is the latest version of the WebSite Tonight application.  The prior version was 4.2.1.  The current version is always displayed in the application header.

      Greetings Mike,

Thank you for your question.   Presently there's no  way to embed a per entry / forum wide  items such as Adsense or programs akin to that. We have this on our roadmap and plan to include this in a future update to the forum.
