Record your movies and put them up on your website.

The latest release of WebSite Tonight now provides an easy way to record
and upload videos to your website - all from a single screen, with just a few mouse
clicks.
From the page designer, select "Insert Video," and click on the "Record" tab.
You will see options to record a video and to load an existing video. In order
to record a video, you will need to connect a webcam to your computer and
make sure the required drivers are installed.
Click the "Start Preview" button, and adjust the webcam to the desired postition.
Then click on the "Start Recording" button to begin capturing your movie. The
"Stop Recording" button will end the recording. Click the "upload" button to upload
the movie to your site. This will bring you back to the "video" tab, where you can select
this newly uploaded file from the dropdown list and click "OK." The video file will be inserted
into your webpage. Now simply publish your site, and you will have your movie up and
running on your website!
The "Load Video" option allows you to load any movie file from your disk. You
can edit the file by setting start and end points, and then encode it to a .flv file
format. You can upload this encoded file to your site and insert it on your webpage.
A cool feature: if you have a WebSite Tonight window open alongside Windows Explorer,
you will be able to drag any video file from Explorer, and drop it into the WebSite Tonight - Insert Video window,
in the area that says "Flix Publisher." The video will automatically start playing.
You will also be able to play mp3 files, encode and upload them just like video files.
(For first time users, clicking on the "Record" tab will prompt you to install a
plugin. You will need to install this in order for this new video feature to work.)
Many of you have already begun using this feature. Please let us know of your experiences, and
suggestions on how we can improve upon this.

    Hi,
I just noticed that all of my HTML has this extra "code bloat" in it that wasn't there before. For example, "span" tags and "div" tags have been added where none are required.

Eliminating code bloat is a big factor in getting pages to rank a little higher in search engines, but it seems that the WebSite Tonight WYSIWYG program is now automatically added a great deal of unneeded code. This really makes my HTML look like a mess.

Can anything be done about this, or do I need to go through each one of my pages and edit the unneeded code??

      Hi Paul,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

We are planning to roll out some changes next Thursday (Feb 26th, 2009) and this will be fixed as well.

Thanks and have a good weekend.

      Best Regards,
      Lakshman
